Buffelsdrift, Rust de Winter is just 83 kilometres north east of Pretoria in the heart of the bushveld and is easily accessible from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Elands River runs through this 430 hectare private game farm which is a paradise for bird and nature lovers. A 10 kilometre hiking/mountain biking trail will take you around the farm with plenty of opportunities to view and photograph game, birds, butterflies, trees and nature. Stay at Buffelsdrift and spend the day fishing and boating at the nearby Rust de Winter Dam. The less energetic need go no further then the deck of their cottage in order to enjoy peace and quiet and relax to the soothing sounds of the bushveld.

Self catering accommodation is offered in three rustic, A-frame, thatched cottages. The Crocodile Lapa has two en-suite bedrooms and is set on the banks of the Elands River. Squirrel and Bushbuck Cottages have a single en-suite bedroom and a loft with 2 extra beds. All of the cottages are set amongst the trees, each in its own secluded spot where you can enjoy nature without intrusions.
